The next outing is on “Butterflies and Dragonflies of Aughanish” on Saturday 4June22. We expect to see butterflies such as the Small Heath, Common Blue, Small Blue and Dingy Skipper as well as dragonflies and damselflies. The leader is

The meeting place is at the CAR PARK FOR NATURE TRAIL VISITORS on the access road to the Aughanish Alumina plant, off the N69 south of Askeaton. Please excuse the upper case wording but that’s exactly as it is written on the sign that you watch out for!
It’s the first left after you drive through the gate to the plant (not the security barrier which is further on).
The coordinates of the car park are N52.61383 W9.06138.
