Leighlinbridge Waterways Wildlife Discovery Walk

This Water Heritage Day, join us on the banks of the river Barrow for an event celebrating the wildlife of our waterways. At this event, you will learn how to identify some common waterway wildlife such as bees, butterflies, dragonflies and aquatic creepy crawlies. It will be a combination of beginners training with a pleasant walk along the Barrow to record some this waterway’s wildlife.

This is a family friendly event. All children attending must be supervised by an adult. Booking is essential email us on conservation@iwt.ie to book your place. This event is supported by Waterway Ireland.
