IWT Photo of the month Facebook Competition

The aim of this competition is to provide some fun and enjoyment by encouraging people to share and see beautiful Irish wildlife photos as something worthy in its own right, whether they be provided by pros in hides or amateurs out for a walk all photos are considered.

If you wish to enter you will need to first like/follow our Facebook page and then submit your photo as per the rules below.

Send us your picture by email. Send it to: photocomp@iwt.ie with Photo of the Month in the email subject line.

Competition Rules

  1. Send your picture by email.
  2. Add the date (dd/mm/yyyy) and the location (e.g. Co. Offaly) of the picture. No need for exact location but please add at least the County.
  3. As this competition is showcasing the beauty of Irish wildlife we kindly request you only enter photos taken on the island of Ireland.
  4.  We will not accept images of nests, eggs, fledglings or animals in cages, tanks and other forms of captivity.

 

Our team will select a shortlist of 15 to 30 pictures by the end of the month. The shortlist will be posted for voting on the first Wednesday of the following month and voting will close at 16:00 on the following Tuesday with the winner, the photograph that gets the most ‘likes’, being announced the next day.

 

As usual, to give everybody a fair chance of winning, we would kindly ask all the photographers and their friends to SHARE THE WHOLE ALBUM, not just their photograph.
